  1. Fine Art ,which includes Drawing and Painting and Sculpture.  

  2. Graphic Design. 

  3. 3Dimensional Design. 

  4. Photography/Video, which includes Digital Imaging. 

  5. Textiles.

 

Art as a Year 9 GCSE Subject Choice.

Reasons for choosing Art.

1. You enjoy the subject.

2. You feel that you are good at it.( You do not have to be brilliant at it!!)

3. You might need it for a career. (Discuss this with your careers tutor.)

4. A balance to your academic subjects.

What are the areas of study?

You may specialise in just one of these areas e.g. Photography or work in a number of them during the course. For example if you take the photography course you do not have to produce any drawing or painting.
